TreeViews: option to use an arbitrary list of articles
It would be really useful to be able to use TreeViews (or something similar) to generate page view stats for an arbitrary set of articles.
My particular use case is Wikipedia Education Program courses: I want to be able to get page views all at once for all of the articles assigned to students in a course. I can easily get the list of assigned articles for a course via API (or a list of all the articles a group of users have edited, via database query), but having a way to get page view stats would be hugely useful both for motivating students and for understanding the impact of a course's work.
If I could paste in a list of articles, or specify a large number of articles in a url parameter, that would be awesome.

This is possible now with PagePile, see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/TreeViews . Please close. :)

I saw requests for this elsewhere too and I need something similar. I looked into the code and it shouldn't be too hard, I'll send a patch (though I can't test unless https://bitbucket.org/magnusmanske/glamtools/issue/27/unknown-database-s51203__viewstats_cache is fixed).
