Gender definitions (+is)
If the person is Icelandic, his/her name will most likely end with 'son' or 'dóttir'. There are, of course, many exceptions. If an article has 'fædd' or 'fæddur' in it, it's very likely a person.

The pull request #29 deals with person/gender suggestions.
-
reporter Thank you for the pull request. I think there's a typo in the code change causing instances of son and dóttir to multiply every few seconds when displaying entries.
-
@Svavar_Kjarrval, is the issue you mentioned in your last comment still present?
-
reporter Yes, it is still present.
-
Ok, please post a screenshot if you can, and I'll try to address the issue. (Or if you know exactly what change needs to be made in the code, describe it here or send a pull request).
-
reporter The errors are that the regular expressions for Icelandic have /b instead of /s .
-
attempt to fix Icelandic gender markers, see #151 (I presume the \w may not play well with \b)

I tried to reproduce the error but no Icelandic items were showing up. I hope change c55e19f fixes it (It may take from a few hours to a few days for the code to come into effect -- in fact, I suspect there might be some updating process that @magnusmanske needs to do by hand).
-
reporter Well, I am kind of prolific regarding Icelandic items... :P
-
Heheh it seems you have been doing a good job indeed :)
By the way, would you mind splitting this issue in two (one for the disambiguation game and another for the gender game) and give them more descriptive titles? That would make it easier to mark the parts that are completed as resolved, and to identify what still needs to be done. Given the discussion here, I'd suggest to leave this one for the gender game.

reporter - changed title to Gender definitions (+is)
- edited description
Edited the issue so disambiguation page issue is it's own separate issue: #175.
-
reporter Still a copy problem regarding the genders. But it doesn't seem to multiply more than once (but I only had one sample).

'fæddur' refers to a male and 'fædd' to a female.
