Distro QA about underlinking with libm

I got a report in Gentoo at https://bugs.gentoo.org/775311 that using an alternative to libtool -lm is not provided when linking libm4rie. While legal, a number of distribution regard underlinking as an issue. It could easily be fixed by adding a check for libm in configure.ac. A good example is at https://autotools.io/autoconf/finding.html. As noted in the example some old unixes include libm as a part of the standard C library.
