Display metadata in a panel
Web clients display tooltip with result source. Do the same in GUI

The better name for the issue is "Display metadata". As in web client, the metadata should be available both as a tooltip and as a separate panel, which allows e.g. to copy and paste the information.

In Poliqarp GUI a panel is switched between metadata and the larger context. A similar solution, e.g. using for metadata the hiddent text panel, is acceptable.
-
The best solution seems to add the third tab in the left-hand panel for displaying the information - so called larger context and metadata - provided by the server after clicking on the match number.
Tooltips are of course still needed.

Doesn't work for kanji.
P.S. If you want to close this issue, create a new one for tooltips.

reporter Please provide an example when it doesn't work for Kanji. I only managed to get two cases when Kanji returned empty response (this happens also in a browser sometimes and seems to be a problem with the server).
Most of the time I get correct reponses for all Kanji corpora.
What should appear in tooltip? When should it be displayed? Over an item number?
-
Now I have even stranger problems - selecting an item from the text results and switching to metadata doesn't display anything. Moreover I managed somehow to get metadata displayed from a different corpus from a different server...
As for tooltips, they should simply work as in the web client - you don't need a djview plugin to have a look at it.
-
reporter I need an example that can be reproduced, otherwise I can't debug it.
Sometimes I don't get any response from kanji even in web browser - can you reproduce problems in wbl?
-
I can reproduce on wbl the problem with displaying context from wrong corpus.
Search 16th century dictionary for broda and display a context, then change the corpus to Linde, search again for broda and display the context - they will still be from 16the century dictionary.
BTW, I no longer get mail notification about new comment :-(
