This macro uses tags to exclude macro content from its excerpts.

You have to use the tags:

<instantsearch-exclude>Content to exclude</instantsearch-exclude>

To properly exclude the macro.

Keep in mind that these results will still show up in the search, they just won't be displayed as part of the excerpt.
