Opening multiple shortcuts (.Ink) files at the same time

Dragging and dropping multiple different files at the same time into NeeView (including compressed archives and folders with many images in it) works great to preview them and in the case of archives such as .zip files containing more than one image we can also preview the cover image for each of them and double click on it to open and see the rest.

The problem is when the 'files' we drag are just a shortcut (.lnk) pointing to the location where the source file actually is... shortcut (.lnk) files appear to only work/open in NeeView when dragged individually (one at a time) and not when we drag more than 1 at the same time.

This to say that I wish it were possible to drag multiple different shortcuts (.lnk) files at the same time and have NeeView behave the same way it does with 'normal' (non-shortcut) files and that behavior is to let me preview the cover image of all of them and choose which one I'd like to double click to open.
