Rainbow - missing UI buttons on some dialogs on macOS Sonoma 14.4
After recent macOS upgrade to Sonoma 14.4 a lot of buttons from the Utilities sub menu are missing. See attached screenshot from the Pipeline Edit/Execute dialog. Seems that buttons are actually there on the UI, but they are not visible, which makes the Rainbow practically unusable.
I have tried versions 1.45 and 1.46 of the Rainbow with the same results.

Hopefully this would be fixed with an upgrade to the latest SWT - but the last I tried this it broke the build. Guessing someone with some SWT experience could fix these easily.

I’ve seen this elsewhere in Apache land. It relates to this SWT bug - https://github.com/eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform.swt/pull/1081 - and looks like would need an SWT upgrade unless it’s backported.
Not kept up-to-date with the latest but for those stuck at the moment, using an alternative JVM, such as Azul Zulu, that was built against macOS SDK 13 (as opposed to macOS SDK 14) will help you workaround it.

I believe the latest version of SWT require Java 17 or above. That may prevent us from fixing this until we move to Java 17 or we separate the UI into another project.

Confirming David’s alternate solution above works
