Wombat

Wombat is a scalable and high performance code for simulating astrophysical phenomena. The public version currently includes only the MHD-TVD solver. We are working on MHD-WENO, gravity and dark matter solvers, and future work will also see cosmology and cosmic rays capabilities. Wombat is intended to be general enough to be useful for a wide variety of calculations but not so general as to limit performance. Our goal for Wombat is to be able to handle difficult simulations that demand performance and scaling for success.

Getting Started

How to compile and run Wombat on laptops and large computers, with an emphasis on Cray machines. We also provide examples to analyze Wombat data in Julia.

Code Development

Code architecture, domain decomposition, load balancing. Also first steps for writing your own module.
