Event management

The iMonDB Viewer can be used to add new events to the iMonDB, or to manage existing events.

A new event can be added to a specific instrument, on a specific date and of a specific type. Next, free-form text can be used to describe the problem that occurred and the steps undertaken to solve the problem, as well as additional information. Furthermore, a file containing information relevant to the event can be added as an attachment as well (for example, a screenshot/photo of the event, the repair invoice, ...). The attachment can be opened by double-clicking on the attachment name, and saved to disk using the right-most button.

After adding an event, it is immediately written to the iMonDB and visualized on the graph. Events of a specific type can be shown or hidden using the checkboxes in the top right corner.

The information for existing events can be edited (context menu throught right mouse click or left mouse double click), however, the event's instrument, date and type is immutable. If you need to change this information, first delete the event in question and then create a new event with the updated information.
