Background.

This project has stemmed from the need and desires of the community to have a fourth gen mod chip for the Xbox to rival the features of the SmartXX, Xecuter 3 etc... Currently it is very hard to come across a fourth gen mod chip and they are becoming a desirable item and we all have been waiting for a project like this to pop up.

We are very lucky to see a project like this for our beloved Xbox consoles so late in its life, where other developers have moved on. All Praise goes out to Benjamin for starting a project such as this and it is not a small task, I assure you a lot of work has gone into this project as the Xbox console is shrouded in a lot of vague info custom hardware and much of the info that was available on the Xbox hacker bbs has gone and lots of info is starting to disappear from the web.

In the current times the Xbox is all but forgotten and seems to be gaining or at least maintaining a good user base because of projects like --xbmc4xbox-- --coinops-- --retroarch-- and the fantastic lineup of games, emulators, plugins skins and developers still around keeping her alive.

Maybe this project will stem other developers to pop their heads to develop other hardware/ software and get our loved platform buzzing like back in the day.
