RunoutAnywhere

RunoutAnywhere is a DIY hardware device designed to provide filament runout detection and pause your printer without modifying your 3D printer. This is accomplished through the exposed API of popular control software like OctoPrint.

The hardware is a WeMos style ESP8266 based SOC board with a single limit switch attached. This requires minimal soldering and the case is 3D printed. You need to install only 2 libraries from within the arduino IDE and you are up and running as soon as the 3D print completes.
