PowerSysPro / Home

What is PowerSysPro?

PowerSysPro is a Modelica library dedicated to the load flow calculation of Distribution grids.

PowerSysPro is being developed at EDF Lab Paris-Saclay.

All components are dramatically simplified to allow the modelling of medium and large large-scale systems. For very huge grids, causal connectors are proposed in order to split the whole model in parts that can be exported as FMUs and co-simulated in tools like the open-source DACCOSIM NG.

Modelica environment

PowerSysPro can be used with Dymola (>2021x), and OpenModelica (>1.17.0).

Getting started

Unzip the latest available release from "Downloads", and check you get both the PowerSysPro.mo file and the folder Resources on your computer. This folder contains:

  • Some .png files helpful for information on some components
  • Data files that may be used in examples

You simply have to load the PowerSysPro.mo Modelica file in Dymola or OM, and try the examples included in the folder "Examples".

More information

PowerSysPro library has been developed and is maintained by EDF R&D to promote the use of the Modelica language for electrical Distribution networks with components modeled in an open-source approach.
