Welcome to the Exaile project Wiki
Exaile is a music player inspired by KDE's Amarok, but for GTK and written in Python. It incorporates many of the cool things from Amarok (and other media players) like automatic fetching of album art, handling of large libraries, lyrics fetching, Last.fm support, an advanced tag editor, and a SHOUTcast directory browser. Exaile additionally uses tabbed playlists, so you can have more than one playlist open at a time.
The source code for the Exaile project is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 2 or higher.
We welcome any sorts of contribution. If you would like to contribute to Exaile project development, please consider providing patches to the bugs on Launchpad. You might also want to read PluginDevelopment for information on creating plugins. Translations are also welcome. Please see the CreatingTranslations page for instructions on how to translate Exaile into your own language.
