Clone wikiRealSense for Singularity / RealSense hardware
Intel sells the RealSense Developer Kit Camera for $99. It is meant for developers only and produced in small batches when enough orders pile up. As a consequence, you may have to wait a while for yours.
If you are looking for a new Windows laptop or desktop, there are already a few with integrated RealSense cameras:
- Dell's 2015 Inspiron 5000 laptops and Inspiron 23 All-in-One desktop PCs.
- The HP ENVY - 15t Touch laptop.
- Asus' N551JQ notebook and G771JM ultrabook.
- Acer's Aspire V17 Nitro gaming laptop.
- Lenovo's 2015 Yoga tablets and laptops.
Also of note is HP's Sprout. Its "HP Illuminator" device with built-in RealSense camera is oriented toward the desk rather than the user, so it will probably not work for head position and expression tracking, but there is also an ordinary, user-facing webcam which may be usable.
