The "Timesheet Report" hangs during one of the operations

Hi

We recently updated Jira to the version 5.2.11 and also got your PlugIn - "JIRA Timesheet Reports and Gadgets Plugin" via atlassian.

During one of the operations "Timesheet Report" hangs.

Here is the report from the user:

I found an issue with Timesheet report plugin.
If you click on “details” and then “Change” to view another period of time it hangs.

    Thanks for your response. I will test this on QA instance to see if it is going Ok before implementing on Production system.

    Is there are plans to implement this solution on main code or this is something that happening not in all Jira installations?

    Hi Areg,

    It's not going on all Jira installations, and more over not all have the same problem, some have a lot projects, others a lot of groups, and others a lot of fields. So I would not like to apply this workaround blindly for all. And after all the problem is confirmed by Atlassian and is most likely fixed in 6.0.1.

    In this case as we got the Commercial License for your product I would like to check with you how we can implement this workaround as it requires the custom plugin package build.

    I would like to check with you if I provide all necessary details to you can you please let know which parameter needs to be changed in the atlassian-plugin.xml file and help to build the proper package back?

    Hi Areg,

    There is no problem if you can do this, it does not require build actually, just patching one file.

    And regarding the particular parameter, so which of the mentioned parameters has a lot of values? I.e. which entities you have a lot? Projects, groups or fields? You can clarify it also if you wait till the page loads, and see drop down lists, if any of them has a lot of values.

    Here is the Statistics from our Production Jjira:

    Database Statistics:

    • Issues - 277813
    • Projects - 482
    • Custom Fields - 187
    • Workflows - 76
    • Attachments - 92417
    • Comments - 951005
    • Users - 7564
    • Groups - 191

    Could you please have a look and let me know which option should be fixed in this case? If you can provide a rebuilded version of the Plugin it will be very useful.

    Thanks for help. Seems PlugIn looks good on QA instance and once we will complete testing we will move it to the production.

    Is there a possibility to move these changes to some kind of options file so it can be adjusted without patching the file for next releases?

    Note, it's slightly improved, now it allows to use names instead of IDs, for Project, Role, Filter and both Group By Field and Additional Fields. Also the latter accepts coma delimited field names.
