Add this line to the top of /etc/apache2/httpd.conf : Define SERVER_APP_HAS_DEFAULT_PORTS 1

then restart the web services on MDS

the issue is that the default apache config file has a simple "it works" website on port 80 and profile manager uses port 80 we don't change any existing files since that would cause issues on upgrades. I just include our apache config file in the "others" folder It isn't that MDS conflicts with profile manager. it is that the default config of apache does.
