Evaluation release
What is needed for an evaluation release to the working group
- Complete metadata structures
- Misc with author names, affiliations, paper reference, time of acquisition, country, ...
- System description
- Finish sequence and probe implementations
- Working code for save/load
- Example data sets
- Field II PSFs
- Linear array/plane wave
- Phased array/converging wave
- Convex array/diverging wave
- Matrix array/MLT
- Field II PSFs
- Establish process for resolving disagreements about the standard
- One vote per working group member group
- Tie-break?
Release process
- Draft release (t=0)
- Issues shall be raised in the Bitbucket issue tracker
- Issues are discussed in the issue tracker, the development team keeps track of discussion and counts votes when discussion has stopped, announces vote count not anonymously
- Development team decides which issues can be included in next release
Contributors outside the development team
- Everyone is welcome to contribute and make pull requests
- The development team has the overview of the strategy and has the power to include or reject the request
Changes in development team
- The development team has three members
- Four members are possible only for a transition period when one member is about to leave the team
- At every IEEE IUS meeting the development team is up for renewal
- Self-nomination process
- Sitting members can rerun
- Majority vote with one vote per working group member group
- Tie-break?
