Add text format describing volume settings to improve backwards compatibility.

In the future we might change the size of the chunks or type of compression. By storing these settings in a text file in the volume folder we should be able to retrieve the settings used to save old volumes, thereby improving backwards compatibility.

    This no longer applies as we've switched to using an SQLite database, and we can store the block size in that along with the data.
