There seem to be no x86_64 version of the library included (which is mainly an issue for Linux).

I guess the MacOS library is already a universal binary?

64-bit libraries are now provided for all desktop platforms. In the case of OS X this is a universal binary.

This fix applies to the develop branch and will arrive on the asset store with the next release.
