Zooming in TopView does not update properly

Issue #437 resolved
Joern Ungermann created an issue

After a zoom in TopView using the Zoom Toolbar facilities, the map view seems to have changed correctly, but there is a discrepancy between the internal state of MSS and the depicted map view.

In previous versions, this occured randomly and caused the “REDRAW” button to be implemented. In current matplotlib versions, it seems to occur consistently on every zoom.

    Fixed timing issue in zooming/redraw

Due to the event handling, it was previously random if the zoom or the redraw was triggered first. Now, the redraw occurs always after the zoom/pan event.

The issue is not closed yet, as further testing is required if there are other error sources. If yes, the REDRAW button may be removed.

I tested it extensively with the newly released version and couldn’t provoke the issue to re-occur.

I close this issue until we reidentify it. Removing the redraw button is a task for 1.9.
