OK I got my Activate Diffuse Node recursion functionality done...

Issue #1579 duplicate
Joe Morris @ FAST Animation Studio Toolz created an issue

I wanted to see if you wanted to put it through its paces and if you really like the code and think about maybe incorporating it as an option….. so people can have a beautiful solid mode scene and be more comfortable animating where it's fastest... It calls on no specific node names but it gets through the group nodes on extreme PBR node Wrangler Polygon and URBANIAC! so far no prob... If it fails it's easily fixable...

The guy that made this is a real programming genius...

attached the beta version 11 from gum road and on SSM_functions.PY it's on line 432 to line 955

if you add it I'll add some sort of functionality so if you use it and give that to your users then if they installed my add-on that it won't bump into your code like some sort of tag that if a second version of this functionality is detected it will just disable one...

Like I said if you wanna use it and you notice an issue you could just send it to me so it's no heat on your end and I'm gonna offer this to Extreme PBR too and maybe others so if there's any issue then I'll just provide the updates like right away no more than a couple days maybe sooner...

This is a prototype though so know it works on all this stuff that I've thrown at it but I'm gonna put it through its testing paces... Later today or tomorrow... it is fast

there's also a button next to the Super solid mode button that opens a menu where you could display all normal maps I'm thinking about incorporating functionality to display any one material type like normal bump roughness so you could get a good overview for your scene and learn more about what these nodes look like and a little bit more insight on what editing them does... Defaulting to normal or maybe diffuse in every instance if there isn't one so it'll look beautiful...

Take care and have a Awesome Monday!✌️😎

Yeah just if you guys get a chance look at the code you'll see how complex and awesome and fast it is

I just attached an activate diffuse text file containing a new update to this functionality because I'm in the process of renaming my add-on so I can't really upload the update till I get some documentation reflecting the new name but this update fixes an issue with not selecting the diffuse image texture node on a genesis 8 when your API is used to import the character I don't know why there was a disparity there… it did select the diffuse image texture node when I imported the character via the interface in the development version… all we had to do in this case is just change the line_two variable…

I will keep this post up to date as far as the latest version of this code… anybody that reads this you could grab some pretty awesome Shader node recursion technology from that file if you want to use it in your own projects.. If you do use it in a paid add-on or even a free add-on please give credit to SUPER SOLID MODE soon to be renamed FAST ANIMATION STUDIO & TOOLKIT….and Steve H on FIVERR… https://www.fiverr.com/inbox/steveh770 if you need him he's the programmer that can code like this I think he's probably like the best in the world and extremely affordable

And just to note this code is really really simple to fix and if you want me to I'll post the easy instructions
