Hide Unused Links

Some vendors like to break chains apart to make them shorter, and hide the unused parts inside furniture. This can be annoying, because sometimes the unwanted links are not perfectly hidden, and it is easy to select the bones by mistake.

Here the chains have been shortened and the unused links are hidden inside the frame. Press Hide Unused Links. The popup window let us specify a string that identifies the bones to be hidden.

The unused bones disappear.

Actually, they are not completely removed, but only moved away a large distance. If we want to move them further, they are now easy to select since they are well separated from the other bones.
