Geko's Lasers / Lasers

Lasers

Lasers are the core idea of the mod (clue is in the name, right?). There are many types of lasers you can make, and each one is designed for one specific task.

Laser Use Crafted With
Laser Rifle Killing mobs and players Bow
Precision Mining Laser Mining single blocks Iron Pickaxe
Wide Mining Laser Digging holes, very fast Diamond Pickaxe
Explosive Laser EXPLOSIONS! TNT
Ender Laser Teleport with RF Ender Pearl
Fire Laser Making the world burn Flint and Steel

This page details the process of crafting all the components to a laser.

To start with a basic tier 1 laser, you will need:

  • 1 Leadstone Laser Reactor Unit, crafted with:
    • 1 Thermal Expansion Leadstone Flux Capacitor
    • 4 Lead ingots
    • 1 Energised Laserite
    • 3 Diamonds
  • 1 Leadstone Laser Casing, crafted with:
    • 5 Lead ingots
    • The LRU we just crafted
    • The item in the "Crafted With" column in the table above, ie: a bow for a Laser Rifle
  • 1 piece of Refined Laserite, dyed to a color of your choice

Laser Reactor Unit

First, you'll need to craft a Laser Reactor Unit, or LRU, of the same tier as the laser you want to make. A LRU of the previous tier is needed to create the next tier.

The first tier LRU, the Leadstone LRU, is crafted like so:

Then the Hardened LRU:

And finally the Resonant LRU:

Cases

Next, you'll need a case. Cases determine the type of laser gun you're making. Cases have a standard recipe shape, as follows:

Changing the item in the top left grid slot changes the laser gun. The table at the top of the page lists what items are used to make each laser case.

Also note that the ingots and LRU used in the recipe will determine the tier of the laser gun. Leadstone LRU and lead ingots for tier 1, Hardened LRU and invar for tier 2, Redstone LRU and electrum for tier 3, and Resonant LRU and enderium for tier 4.

Finally, lasers!

The last step is to combine the laser case with a piece of refined Laserite, in a standard crafting window. Smelting Laserite refines it, allowing it to focus the energy produced from the LRU. Refined Laserite can be dyed using the standard Minecraft dyes, which changes the color of the laser produced.
