Bouncing Estimated Finish Time
In the new BETA versions, the Estimated Finish Time for a sequence changes every second; this wasn’t the case in v1.10 and earlier.
Perhaps I just don’t understand the intent of this change, but it doesn’t seem to make sense to me. The finish time should be a fixed value that only changes when something unexpected changes it, like an auto-focus or when the sequence is paused and resumed. In the new implementation, the estimated finish time follows a sawtooth pattern, jumping by the duration of the current exposure and then changing every second during the exposure.
I assume the primary purpose of this display item is to inform the user when the sequence will finish so he/she will know when to return and take the next action. This new constantly-changing estimate makes that a lot more difficult.
It would be nice if the former implementation was restored so the user could get a reasonably accurate idea of when the sequence will actually finish instead of a time that is changing constantly.
Just my feedback - others may have differing views on this.
