feature request: password with key sequence
The user will be able to configure a key sequence (for example: up-up-down-down-mode) from the app.
This password can then be used in various use cases like starting up the bike and changing modes

I like how I could enter a pin code on my 850c display using the up down arrows to unlock it. Would be nice to see that on the eggrider and not have to use Bluetooth.

George its time to add this feature now.
we are waiting 3 years now!

Any update on this issue?

Hi,
Unfortunately, this year has been very busy with all sorts of problems.
We have this in mind but it is going to take a while.
My biggest concern with adding such a feature would be that people will forget their password and many support questions will arrive.
We are adding a login functionality which would make things safer as the password would be also stored in the cloud.

If we forget the pincode then we can have Bluetooth as a backup. I had issues with the Bluetooth unlock feature so I turned it off. Unlocking my Bafang screen/bike with a number pincode was easy and worked fine. The eggrider should have come with the same feature. Plus if people don't want to use it then they can just disable it. It's like unlocking a phone.

Totally agree with Miguel on this!
To be frank, as a user I do not even want my settings and/or pincodes to be stored in “the cloud“. After all, this is a simple display for an ebike and not a hyper connected IoT device.

Hi, this would be a great Feature! It would even enable me to lock out the kids and not have to bring my phone every time…
Is this still under development / do we have a timeline?Kind regards and keep up the great work,
