Windows check.base crashes

Frank Dellaert created an issue

With static library ON (did not check off) check.base crashes on MSVC 2017.

Looking for Windows user to fix.

    I haven't actually been able to build MSVC 2017 yet. I switched to your version of VS 2017 and boost and I'm going to give it another try. If I can't build, I'll make an issue. If I can, I'll see if I can reproduce this error.

    I'm building and executing the examples successfully in that branch. And compilation is much faster than when I started. Not sure whether it's due to PCH, or other cleanup.
