Time Reports getting no data

Issue #1094 resolved
Ivan created an issue

Hi,

We have been using time reports to export hours from Jira for several months now. But last week something has changed and the time reports are showing not all the records. Namely time report does not contain records from last week for some reason.

If you go into timesheets - it is ok there.

could you please fix the issue ASAP or recommend workaround for getting time reporting data for period into the excel?

Thanks

    Hi Ivan,

Problem must be caused by recent changes in Tempo plugin. If you're using Tempo time sheets, it does not store work logs in JIRA anymore, and there is no solution yet.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thanks for reply. What would you suggest to do now? We have to publish the correct time reports for prev weeks. Do you know other way to get correct data from Jira without waiting for fix of the issue?

I am not sure if we are using Tempo. We just do hours logging using standard Jira functionality in the issues. How can I distinguish Tempo or not Tempo?

    Thank You, Ivan Ripka

May be it's not related to Tempo. Could you please add screenshot how you log work done and time sheets with hours shown?

I have just realized that Tempo is not third party plugin as well. We do nto really need it. Will it solve if I disable Tempo?

    Thank You, Ivan Ripka

It helped. I tried to report some hours after Tempo disabled – I can see my new report now.

Now question is how to get data for last week from Tempo.

    Thank You, Ivan Ripka

May be Tempo will sync worklogs back to Jira DB when it's uninstalled. Other customer said uninstalling Tempo made data appear in Time Reports, but I'm not sure if it is really syncing worlogs to JIRA DB then.

Any update on how to get Time Reports or the Timesheets gadget to work with Tempo/Jira?

We are using Tempo to log time but we now have no way to show logged work per user/day and grouped per account.

If this cannot be fixed I'm afraid we no longer have any use for the Time Reports and Gadget add-in.

    Hi Mats,

Sorry, no. You can use Time Reports to log work, or native JIRA means, though.

    Thank you.

    Hi Andrew,

Could you please provide screenshot of how do you log work done? And may be to double check issue Work Log tab with entries for the specified period?

    Thank you.

    Thanks for quick response.

Yes, i checked them, also set filter 'all users', looking at others week e.t.c. In my project there are about 30 task in this period, and my college added log too.

    One of my tasks:

I "played" with filters, and removed all removable filters.

I noticed that few log-records appeared recently. But others still not visible.

That visible log-records was added after I installed add-on. Am I right, that I cannot see history logs?

    Yes.

I added new log to exist task, so now I see new log-record, but old still invisible:

*for FINMAN-3 I changed timelog today, so it not <history> data too.

So, do you mean that you've just edited old work log record for FINMAN-3 that was not shown in the report and now it appears in the report for 20/Jul? Did you change the date only or anything else?

  15. Andriy Zhdanov

I've got an idea that you might have changed usernames recently, may be it happend behind the scenes by integrating new or updating SSO solution to your JIRA Cloud.

So, do you mean that you've just edited old work log record for FINMAN-3

for FINMAN-3 I created log today (after install add-on), and set date to 20.07.

you might have changed usernames recently

We definetely didn't change usernames manually ... And I can't give a comment about works in Jira Cloud background ) But standard Jira timesheet report works

  17. Andriy Zhdanov

What do you mean by standard timesheet reports? Please add screenshot if this is something else than Work Log issue tab.

These entries looks for different user. I thought about author only and the last two entries, that I think should be for yourself, to verify key/name is the same in both old and new entries.

As a last think, would it be possible to collect support data to let me reproduce it locally?

If so, please enable Track Support Data option in add-on configuration, then reload report and click Download Support Zip, and send it to me by email azhdanov at gmail.com. You may need to change extension to something else to let it pass through.

  20. Andriy Zhdanov

It does not come. Have you changed file extension?

May be you can upload it to drive.google.com and send me link instead?
