Sequence start and end time

Issue #336 resolved
Niccolò Coli created an issue

My suggestion is to introduce an “end time” option for sequences. in such way that once a sequence is started, NINA will run it until the specified end time, without specifying each subs number

Yeah, I’d really like that too. At the moment I have to estimate how many subs I’ll get in before such and such a time.

me too - I find I’m often pausing a seq and editing the count to get it to stop at a specific time. (which goes work) sometimes to many options clutters an otherwise easy to use interface. (torn).

it would also be amazing to have other options like ‘until 2 hours past meridian’. These could be a drop down and a parameter - like ‘absolute time’ or ‘time past meridian’ and then an entered parameter like ‘02:00’.

    From #403:

“I am currently acquiring 120sec Halpha frames of a galaxy. However at 0315 I am keen to start imaging 2I/Borisov, on the dot! I cannot specify exactly how may 120sec images to acquire to finish at precisely 0315, as I just dont know, there are too many unknowns, and besides, this is a PITA!

‌It would be wonderful to have an option enable a sequence to start or end at a specified time.

Instead I will have to set an alarm for 0300 and do it manually, which is going to piss off my girlfriend.”

This is the only thing that I really miss from SGP.

I think it would be nice to have a bounty system for features where somebody requests a feature and people could add to the bounty until it became worth it for someone to develop it.

I would put in $100 USD for this feature

This will be part of 1.11 as part of the new sequencer. The first iteration of this new sequencer will soon be available through nightly builds, therefore marking this as resolved.
