\ALG@name undefined. \select@language{american}

Issue #146 resolved
Lordlycastle created an issue

I'm using alrorithm2e to add pseudo-code to my document but it makes the captions Algorithmus for some reason. It's in German when I've set the language to 'american'. I've also tried defining it in the babel macros for amarican but it doesn't fix it.

Does any of you know a way to fix the caption? Even a hack for now would be good.

    This is an interesting problem and the solution took some testing to find.

    Currently, ngerman and american are loaded in the options of documentclass. This seems to cause the problems with algorithm2e.

    Quick fix for you: Remove ngerman from documentclass in ClassicThesis.tex.

    Longer fix for our next release:

    • Remove languages from documentclass
    • Use \PassOptionsToPackage{ngerman,american}{babel} in classicthesis-config.tex
