Event log takes a long time to appear

Issue #316 resolved

Edward Hart-Davis created an issue 2017-03-20

Very confused. Now unable to, with a fresh area for the game, get an event log. See if I can replicate on Linux.

Tested on Linux version, cannot get items in Event Log, even after completing the first Sphere...

Nothing we can really do about this, it takes a certain amount of time to process. We either lock you out and freeze the display for that period, or let you navigate the menus smoothly but have them load asynchronously.

Sort menu pointers in memory by distance from player view every time a menu transition occurs, ensuring that the nearest menus are always generated first - resolves ~~#316~~ and ~~#319~~, re ~~#208~~ and ~~#256~~
