Description

If the longitude of the observation site is set to 100 degrees or more in the planetarium " Cartes du Ciel ", N.I.N.A.'s Options - General - Astrometry " Get coordinates from the Planetarium Software " will not work .

Steps to Reproduce

  • <Step 1>
Install " Cartes du Ciel " and open the observation location settings.
Click on a point above 100 degrees East or West longitude, or directly type 100 00 0.0 to apply it.
  • <Step 2>
Open N.I.N.A.'s Options - Equipment and select " Cartes du Ciel " in the Planetarium section .
  • <Step 3>
Open N.I.N.A. Options - General and in Astrometry, click " Get coordinates from the Planetarium Software " .

Expected behaviour

The coordinates of the observation site specified in ” Cartes du Ciel ” are given to N.I.N.A. .

Actual behaviour

N.I.N.A. returns an error " Unable to acquire coordinates from Cartes du Ciel " .

・I have not changed the Host and Port settings from the default.
・Target acquisition in framing and sequencing is working correctly.
・If the longitude of the observation location is within 99 degrees 59 minutes 59.0 seconds, the coordinates can be successfully acquired.
・Is this a bug in the " Cartes du Ciel " ?
・This is a bug that has existed for a long time.
・I live in Japan. It has been bothering me for a long time, as I prefer " Cartes du Ciel " to " Stellarium " .

Good catch. This is a bug in NINA and a fix is simple. The regex used was just too restrictive.

  2. OK Take reporter

I was able to verify that I could get the coordinates of the observation site from the " Cartes du Ciel " , even if it is over 100 degrees of latitude .

    Version 1.10 HF2 BETA004
Version 1.11 NIGHTLY #013 and beyond

This is solved . No problems .

Thank you Stefan for your quick response .
